Twiga means giraffe in Swahili and is part of our Christmas tree at work. I drew the giraffe and painted both of them, another individual did the actual cutout. He has made props for theater, so he is quite good at it. (I wouldn't want to use those saws...)
Both the giraffes will be placed with a tree (body of baby will be behind the base of the tree) and on the tree we will have ornaments. The money made from these ornaments will go directly to conservation. Essentially give money towards conservation and receive an ornament.
The giraffe mother (adult) is about 7ish feet tall... so, I had to climb up a small step ladder to paint the head. Fun times.
p.s. the carving behind them are elephants from a railroad from Africa (in our "Elephant Room")
Do not use this image!! I am showing my work and that is all. Thank you!
