2011's Sketches of the Day series, which didn't turn out to be everyday as planned, all sketched from photos, mine or other, in attempt to focus on anatomy, movement, etc. The aim was to really study the animals anatomy through photos (unfortunately I don't have access to most of these animals in life) and draw what I saw, not what I thought was there. It is too easy to start to draw things wrong when you start to draw based only on what you think rather than what really is there in front of you. For example, along the line I thought red foxes had darker fur near the white tip of the tail and would include that, since I got it in my mind that was how it looked, and when I started really looking at fox references again, I found out that I was wrong, mostly.
