Wow, I intended to get this journal entry done a month ago... Fall is almost over. Oh well, at least there is some left to use my leaves!
This time, I do have some updates. There are several art series I plan to begin. I'll be doing a series on dog breeds, going through each of the general categories (herding, hounds, working, etc.) starting with the primitive breeds. I might also do a domestic cat series too.
Another series is Asian Wildlife. I'll probably move on to African, American, Australian, etc animal series after I'm done with Asian. I love African animals, (and might just do that series along side the Asian animals since I have a lot of reference photos from work), I feel Asian animals do not get enough recognition. Many are going extinct, or are critically endangered. I've been told that Asian animals are a lost cause... I don't think so, It's just that people may not be as aware of them, besides the tiger and panda So, hopefully I can share the amazing animals of Asia through my art
. On top of that I will probably do a series on the Order Carnivora.
If anyone has suggestions of what they'd like to see from me, just let me know. I'll probably start with quick drawings of whatever animal I'm working on for my series, and finish with watercolor or acrylic.
I'll announce when I do my first livestream. I will probably not be able to do that until next year (or I might, we'll see). No promises.
I am also creating a simple game (nothing special as I'm learning to code, and that takes some time). You play as a mother fox searching for her baby kits.
One big thing that I've accomplished recently is updating my website! SilverCrossFox.com
I do not have that many fall themed artwork... the Asian animal series will probably be done like the cougar above. Layla, my fox character, will be the subject of some future art pieces. I'll probably not do my dog series on canvas (as I do not have enough room to store canvas painting) but something like the cougar.
Today, 2 years ago, my beloved dog Micah passed away. Two years have already passed, though it doesn't feel that long ago he'd greet me when I got home. He will be missed. Last year I made this video in memory of Micah.
